Description
Summary:Topography and low velocity layer effect at area of seismic data acquisition that have lateral P-wave velocity variation cause the first break at any given trace has not yet resided in right position actually. Static correction need to be done until the position of source and receiver is one level datum in common. Correction use parameter: first break, weathered layer's velocity (V0), and elevation, and source and receiver static value.

The research aim to do static correction to eliminate effect of various topography and low velocity layer on synthetic model. After that, static correction is applied on real data that have out-cropping with assumption its condition approximate to synthetic model that have variation of velocity on weathered layer.

The result of this research is the time-shifting at trace that corrected, where this condition succeeds eliminating the effect of velocity variation on weathered layer.
