| Summary: | Surfactant is known as an active material which has unless a hydrophilic or a hydrophobic part inside its molecule. Added to fluid in certain composition, surfactant can change the value of surface and interfacial tension. Above it's critical consentration surfactant forms micelle which act as a drag reducer in order to decrease pipe friction. While friction decreased, it can also decrease head loss on pipe flow. For instance, this condition can increase pipe flow velocity. This paper writes about the type and concentration of the surfactant which can decrease pipe friction. |
