In this final project, small scale SKES (Conversion System of Solar Energy) has been designed to convert solar energy into electricity for illumination facility at night. For the first step, we convert solar energy directly with Solar cell with 36 plates which produced solar energy at maximum charge 245 mAh. For the second step, we converted solar energy with 21 plate solar cell with sun light directly plus light collector in the form of flat mirror which produced maximum charge 317 mAh. The usage of light collector was in the form of flat mirror in converting solar energy to raise energi which converted to solar cell. To store energy we used four rechargeable battery with total capacity of 14.400 mAh. Experiment wis done at Katulampa area, Bogor which average intensity solar of 2.56 kWh/m2. For rechargeable process of battery in 6 hours with average current for rechargeble battery of 40 mA resulted capacity was 240 mAh. This capacity can be used for lighting up desk lamp that use 4 LED of comfortable reading condition about 3 hours. SKES was designed so that it is sample in treatment and has potency to be developed at isolated village that cannot be reach by PLN. |
