CONSTRUCTION OF DENGUE ANTIGEN RECOMBINANT WHICH SPECIFIC INTO HUMAN ANTIBODY IgM

Dengue fever (DF) and its more severe manifestations, dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) and dengue shock syndrome (DSS), are caused by infection of the mosquito-borne dengue viruses Aedes aegepty. Dengue infection can be diagnosed by three methods, namely immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence; rever...

Dengue infection can be diagnosed by three methods, namely immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence; reverse transcription and polymerase chain reaction (RTPCR), and production of induced antibody by dengue viruses. However, the complexity of these assays and their high cost preclude their routine use due to the high costs associated with antigen production, making them unaffordable for use in the economically weaker countries where dengue is mostly prevalent. There is currently a need for developing cost-effective, safe, and simple diagnostics that combine sensitivity and specificity. The aim of this research was to clone a gene encoding recombinant multiepitope protein that can detect human antibody Immunoglobulin M and to purify and to characterize the resulted protein. text
