| Summary: | Lemon juice battery has been used to indicate simple Volta cell concept as source of electrical energy , which can be demonstrated in the class or laboratorium. One of the factor of determining the usefull of fruit juice as electrolite media in Volta cell was degree of its acidity. In this research, lemon juice (Citrus aurantifolia (christm) suringle) and wuluh starfruit juice (Averrhoa bilimbi) were used as electrolyte media in fruit juice battery. To get optimum voltage of fruit juice battery, there were the variations of fruit juice concentration, the couple of electrode combination (Mg, Al, Zn, Fe, Cu, C) and the adding of salts, such as lithium chloride, potassium chloride, potassium nitrite, sodium sulpfate and aluminum sulpfate. Those variations were done to decrease internal resistance of battery cell so that result fruit juice battery cell with optimum efficient of electric power. |
