Description
Summary:AVO method is successfully used to detect hydrocarbon presence from seismic data. Nevertheless, this method only gives result qualitatively. Therefore it is needed a method which can solve this problem.

AVO Fluid Inversion(AFI) is an extension of a conventional AVO. The extension is conducted by applying intercept (A) and gradient (B) simulation from probabilities of elastic parameters of reservoir, shale layers, and it's fluid conent. A and B value of well data are used as calibration to A and B from real seismic. Finally it's expected to know hydrocarbon distribution in exploration area.

In this research, we used two wells (gas well and dry well) and synthetic seismic created by zoeppritz equation. The result of well's intercept-gradient simulation known that gas trend is separated far away from wet trend. So, it means seismic study has a big chance to apply in gas carbonate reservoir.
