THE IMPACT OF DEMAND SIDE MANAGEMENT IMPLEMENTATION ON PEAK LOAD, INVESTMENT COST, AND OUTAGE MANAGEMENT

Demand Side Managemen is implemented to decrease peak load and change load profile by cutting off peak load and shifting the load to off peak load by fox of customer behavior in used electrics appliance which is expected to be solution to the problems. To support study, used quantitative method. Qua...

To support study, used quantitative method. Quantitative method is used to identify and measure savings potential that conducted by customer with survey questionnaire, interview, and measurement at the location customer. In the effort to reduce peak load, some choices can be applied. One of the choice is inefficient replacement of electrics equipments energy with efficient energy. In this research the replacement focus is to lighting technology, air conditioner technology, unproductive burden (equipments connection to electrics installation), and application time of use tariff (TOU Tarif). From result of this research, reduce and shift customer demand can be conducted that affect positive to postpone invesment in generation and network, simplified outages management and reduce demaging greenhouse gases. text
