Summary:Indonesia is known with the richness of it's culture. It has more than 300 ethnic group with their own culture. Wedding ceremony is one form of culture, every ethnic group has it own kind of ceremony depend on their culture, it makes Indonesian wedding tradition has a numerous number of style. Along with the development of age and human needs, human is forced ti live practical and mobile. The traditional wedding ceremony has a complex procession and not suite with the modern day, in keeping with that, sometimes people cut the procesion or even choose to do the wedding in an international way which is more simple and modern. This phenomena makes traditional weddings is slowly abandoned. Therefore, in need of an institution who can facilitate as an information and education media to conserve the traditional wedding ceremony for the society and the youth.<p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Museum of Indonesian Traditional Weddings is an information media that contains about traditional wedding ceremony and their procession. This museum is a perfect institution that can distribute and conserve this traditional wedding ceremony.<p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The design of this museum is refering to the effort of culture consevation. A house as a place for a family to live becomes the main idea to built a traditional environment and the used of interactive information media as a stimulus to attract the visitor to learn about the contains of the museum.
