Description
Summary:Structural Health Monitoring is one of structure engineering field that gets an serious attention after major disaster like earthquake. The approach using dynamic characteristic analysis have been performed in recent years. This approach is divided into two groups, traditional groups (natural frequency and mode shapes analysis) and frequency response. Frequency Response method is not limited their analysis just with natural frequencies, but all the frequency range. Frequency Response Function (FRF) is one of the frequency response method divided into two method, FRF's Curvature Difference Method and Receptance Energy Method (n method).<p>From numeric analysis, it was obtained that FRF's Curvature Difference Method can localize the exact position of damage either simple portal 2D structures or complex portal 2D structures. This method is not sensitive to damage location, frequency excitation and severity of damage. &#951; method also can localize damage position, but it can lead to beside of damage exact location. Then, it can be concluded that this method is sensitive to frequency excitation.
