This disease has been treated using combinations of antituberculosis drugs. The drugs for the therapy is divided into two groups, the first line Antituberculosis drugs consisting of isoniazid (INH), rifampisin (RIF), ethambutol (EMB), streptomycin (STR), and pyrazinamide (PZA), meanwhile the second line ones are exionamid, aminosalisilat, sikloserin, amikacyn, kapreomycin, and kanamycin. Unsuitably rule therapy will causes Multidrug Resistance M. tb (MDR-M. tb). World Health Organization (WHO) defines that MDR-M.tb is a bacterium that resistant to at least INH and RIF. Combination of PZA with INH and RIF considerably shortens the treatment period. Resistance to the antituberculosis drug PZA through mutations in the gene encoding pyrazinamidase on M. tuberculosis. This enzyme converts PZA into pyrazinoic acid, POA, the presumed active form of PZA against bacteria. Some clinical MDR-M. tb isolate Laboratory Biochemistry ITB, have been isolated was known has Phenotype resistance to pyrazinamide, but genotipe was not known. This research aims to look for relationship among resistance pyrazinamide MDR-M. tb with mutation on gene pncA. <br /> text
