Description
Summary:Aphrodite formation is the main reservoir at Anamolly-Tsaqiba Fields, an oil and gas producing field, situated in West Natuna Basin. It comprises of 3 intervals: Upper Aphrodite (UA), Zone-R and Lower Aphrodite (LA). Upper Aphrodite and Lower Aphrodite have produced oil and gas. The main point of this research is to assess hydrocarbon potential within Aphrodite Zone-R.

Seismic Attribute, Rock physics and AVA analysis are the main method to aim the purpose. The differences of seismic amplitude between near and far stack seismic is expected caused by hydrocarbon saturated rock. Rock physics study contains: fluid substitution, fluid discrimination analysis, and log trend curve generation. In other hand, AVA forward modeling, AVA varying thickness and N/G modeling simulation are the main process for AVA study.

Fluid substitution process has success generate well log curve (Vp, Vs, RHOB, AI & PR) for 3 kind of fluid saturated: wet/ brine, oil and gas. Analyze those log curves, it notifies that we could separate between gas respond to wet response, but it's difficult to discriminate gas to oil response because of their overlap values.

There are 5 amplitude anomalies have been found, identified and mapped, in Zone-R interval. They are expected dealing with Zone-R reservoirs. Then, they were correlated to the nearest exploration well that occur and generate AVA modeling. Final AVA modeling present range of thickness and N/G that is possible for each amplitude anomaly.

Finally, gas in place volume estimation was calculated for each reservoir. Monte Carlo simulation provided by Crystal Ball software was chosen as the calculation tool. Examine those simulation we found that the P10 is xxx Gas, P50 is xxx Gas and P90 is xxx Gas for all Aphrodite Zone-R reservoirs.
