Summary:Multilevel inverter promised better performance as Synchronous Static Var Compensator (STATCOM) compared to the conventional technology. The STATCOM with proposed topology has advantages compered to the other well known topology. In this research will be discussed control scheme proposed topology as STATCOM based on Dynamic model. Proposed control scheme is simulated by software with power rating 10 MVAR and applied in distribution system 20 KV. Simulation result shows proposed control scheme operates well and has advantages compared to the other control scheme of STATCOM.
