Summary: | The project includes both implementation of the DiffServ and observation of its performance. The diffServ architecture is composed of a number of small functional units implemented in the network nodes. This includes the definition of a set of Per-Hop Behaviors (PHBs), packet classification and traffic conditioning functions like metering, marking, queuing, shaping, and policing. This system is built in Linux environment and uses some computers as PC routers, servers and clients. The observation then begins when IPTV service is accessed by client in the case of network congestion which is created by using the traffic generator. |
