What brain mechanisms underlie autism and how they give rise to autistic behavioral symptoms are the subject of this thesis. This thesis explained how to process signals in human brain according to dynamical of neurotransmitter model. This process is described as a simple network, so called the gate...

This thesis explained how to process signals in human brain according to dynamical of neurotransmitter model. This process is described as a simple network, so called the gated dipole opponent process, where the signals compete in two channels. The output of this process shows a relation between arousal level and the amount of response, which is represented by the inverted-U curve. For the autism, which have low arousal level, the amount of respon is small, while the amount of rebound is large. text
