Description
Summary:Study of morphology reconstruction for Kelabat Bay at Bangka Belitung Province which studied from recent condition with estimated sea level rice about 25m has done with MIKE 21 2D Hydrodynamic model developed by Danish Hydraulic Institute (DHI). The input of the model at northern open boundary is elevation obtained from tide model driver (TMD) for 17 days from 1 December 2008-17 December 2008 and at southern open boundary the input is discharge from Layang River. Assumed tidal range for recent condition and ancient condition are the same. Analysis done towards morphological changes supported by geological interpretation. The result of simulation at recent Kelabat Bay verified by field observation yield error about 11 percent and the result used to compared with current dynamic at ancient Kelabat Bay. The result shows that the phase lags didn't occur at the mouth of the Bay but the difference for velocity occur about 0.075 m/s, at the middle of the bay the phase lags occur about 1 hour and the difference for velocity happened significantly, at Bay upstream the phase lags occur about 2 hours, at estuary velocity difference caused by discharge magnitude. The comparison result shows that morphological changes at Kelabat Bay affects the current dynamic.
