THE STUDY OF GROUNDWATER POTENCY ON DRYLAND IRRIGATION
The research were conducted in DAS Bedadung, Jember . The location of research was clasified as dryland region with 0.0 - 25.0 m m.s.l. (mean sea level) altitude and arranged by Tuff Argopuro (Qvat), Breksi Argopuro (Qvab), and aluvial . The current characteristic of Bedadung river are paralel strea...

The location of research was clasified as dryland region with 0.0 - 25.0 m m.s.l. (mean sea level) altitude and arranged by Tuff Argopuro (Qvat), Breksi Argopuro (Qvab), and aluvial . The current characteristic of Bedadung river are paralel stream from North to South of area of research location . The main river in DAS Bedadung are K. Bedadung with river-branch are this discharge in wet monsoon only . The primary of data in this study was investigated of horticul ture production, as well as zea mays, soy bean, peanut, and tobacco. The secundary of data has been described from hydrology data from artesian -well and exploration-well , transmisibility and permeability of soil are computed from continues pumping test, optimum discharge (7.7 L/s - 28.5 Lis) are computed from gradually pumping test. The hydrology data are taken from five station of meteorology station in the area of research. Efective rainfall has been described by Rso method, evapotranspiration are computed by Penmann Method. The requirement of plant-water at least 1,6 mm/day until 6,3 mm/day are computed by Doorenbos and Pruit equation, and the requirement of water-irrigation at least 0,0 - 1,3 Llslha areal. Water quality of groundwater in the research location was dominated by Ca, although still efective for water irrigation . The research has shown that using groundwater with optimum discharge of artesian-well maybe was developed for irrigation on plant water requirement under the condition of hydrology and hydrogeology of the research location. The optimation procedure has shown that cost advantage can be reach Rp 31,476 million by peanut was planted, or Rp 23,275 million by peanut and tobacco was planted, or Rp 31,.142 million by peanut, tobacco and soybean was planted. text |
