Description
Summary:The use of Li-ion battery increases with the increase development of electronic device. Beside the portability, these batteries have ability to save more electrical power than other batteries and it's also rechargeable, but in the other side these batteries cause environmental issue. The biodegradable solid polyelectrolyte is a promising solution to solve this problem. Polyelectrolyte from poly-E–caprolactone (PCL)-polyethylene oxide (PEO) and LiClO4 was synthesized by using tetrahydrofuran (THF) as a solvent. These PCL/PEO/LiClO4 polyelectrolytes were characterized by FTIR, TGA/DTA, mechanical analysis, and XRD. The FTIR spectrum show absorption peaks of functional groups in polyelectrolyte. Thermal stability tend to increase with increasing LiClO4 composition, but the mechanical strength decrease. Optimum conductivity was obtained from polyelectrolyte with contains 10% (w/w) LiClO4.
