Summary: | This thesis discusses about harmonic current contribution resulted from textile industry loads due to losses at distribution feeder as supplier. At general, the load consist of motors using power electronic control system, and produced harmonic current which injected to 20 kV distribution power system, caused increase losses. Since textile industry utilise a lot of motors and power electronic equipments to control the motors, it develops hypothesis that harmonis current from every textile industry loads create a significant contribution due to the losses.<p>This study mainly discuss harmonic current measurement of textile industry loads as connected to power distribution system which is located in textile industrial area in Rancaekek. The harmonic current will increase the losses on power system equipment that connect to feeder, such as 20 kV cable and distribution transformers. At 20 kV cable, increasing of rms current caused by harmonic current also increasing the losses. Harmonic current which flow on distribution transformer will create increasing on winding eddy-cuurent losses and other stray losses calculated with IEEE Std. C57.110-2008 as reference. |
