TE from cost center to profit center and with the optimization of asset utilization, the company's policies on sales of exploration services have to change gradually. <br /> <br /> <br /> So far the revenue obtained from the sales of exsploration services of PT.TE ( 98%) has been achieved from transfer pricing among affialiated firm (internal market). In the near future it is expected to improve the percentage of the exsploration service sales on external market. Some data that may support this case include as follows: <br /> <br /> <br /> 1: Tin resources are considered non-renewable resources. <br /> <br /> <br /> 2. Tin resources in Indonesia have been exploited for more than 200 years <br /> <br /> <br /> 3. The evaluation result of geolological data indicate that prospective exploration region becomes more limited and the amount of tin resources exploited decreases from 60.474 tons in 1996 to 30,722 tons in 2000. <br /> <br /> <br /> 4. PT. TE employs sufficient human resources (184 employees) from many different majors and operates important supporting facilities such as sophisticated reliable exploration equipment that no other similar company has, i.e. Chemical-Mineral Analysis Laboratory, one survey vessel, and seven drilling vessel for many geological-geophysical researches and for ocean drilling up to 60-80 meters under the sea, <br /> <br /> <br /> 5. The Mining authority of General Investigation and Exsploration being conducted across the country of Indonesia in 2000 was 314. <br /> <br /> <br /> Based on those rationales PT. TE as profit has to increase its sale exspansion to external market in order to provide higher contribution to its main company. Consequently by using marketing strategy analysis, an analysis frame needs to be developed. These analyses can be categorized into <br /> <br /> <br /> 1. External Analysis that discusses macro aspect influencing the groeth and development of industry, and industrial analysis, as well as six marketing methods providing opportunity and treat. <br /> <br /> <br /> 2. Internal analysis that is carried out through management function approaches of PT. TE and its competitors which are going to be compared with successful key factors using competitive profile matrix resulting strength and weakness. <br /> <br /> <br /> A combination of opportunity, treat, strength and weakness of PT. TE through TOWS Matrix; would generate an alternative marketing strategy. <br /> text |
