In the coal mining activities topography maps needed as the basic reference.<p>It is quite often found several mistakes in engineering planning of the coal mining activity. One of the main reason is the inappropriate information extracted from the topography map used, in particular is the height information.<p>This problem can be overcome by using the LIDAR technology for mapping the typical area of coal mining activity where the characteristics of the area usually covered by forest. LIDAR technology able to get the height information very accurately.<p>Nowadays, the mapping and survey applications using LIDAR technology mostly is combined with orthophoto to get the planimetrik information. This thesis is intended to explore the use of LIDAR technology in coal mining process especially in the exploration stage. text |
