Description
Summary:Until now, the water territory region of Indonesia has not fully mapped. Water territory broadness of Indonesia affected at cost factor and time, and hydrography survey method that is generally is felt unsatisfying effective. The measurement with optic method is newest way applied for bathymetric. This method use laser ray transmission from plane and optic principles to measure depth of water territory. Using Laser for determination depth of water territory starts developed in some states. This technology so called LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging). But because applied for water territory mapping, hence changed the name becomes Airborne Lidar Hydrography. This technology applies plane, it is like Photogrametry. So can finalize water territory mapping by leaps and by bounds suited for shallow water territory with depth until 76 metre, like coast zone.<p>Applying this technology, is useful to assist the nearest institution in handling the flood. Furthermore, it can be used in planning the space formation system and natural disasters mitigation.
