Summary: | Several geotechnical problems sometimes need immediate improvements. At present, the technology of soil investigation still facing difficulty in transportation problems and required a relatively long time to get the results. Tests in geophysic field, like seismic refraction, in general need much shorter time, and much easier to transport the equipment. Based on that fact, study analysis is carried out by comparing the soil data result from field and laboratory investigations versus compressional wave velocity and shear wave velocity (Vp and Vs) from seismic refraction testing at the same location. The correlation is made by some type of regressions between seismic refraction result data with field and laboratory investigations. The correlation analysis of field investigation data result unreveal a correlation between soil type, N-SPT value and cone tip resistance versus wave velocity. While, the correlation analysis of laboratory data result only reveal a correlation between percentage clay, cohesion, angle of internal friction and shear strength. This is show by the R2 value in the proving analysis of the appropriate regression model. Field seismic refraction test using masuda method. Test was made at critical area that had experienced some failures at Cipularang highway between km 109 +400 to km 91 +555 (Cikalong Wetan). <br />
