Summary: | In a facility, facility layout had a huge effect through continuity of production dan production cost. One of important thing in designing facility layout is to arrange machine layout. The plan must be in line with facility plan including floor plan, or adjusment of phisycal tool placement (tools, location, building, utilities). The objective plan is to optimize the conection between production departement, flow of material, flow of information to get economical, effective and safe result.<p>Material handling issues related to how the very machinery of production is put on the floor in a manner that is appropriate. Early stages in the design layout facilities in the factory floor to the Systematic procedures Layout Planning (SLP) is a material flow analysis phase. A common method used is the conventional method by using maps and charts work. From drawing maps and charts work, designers get a description of the flow of material during the production process. Representation that can be used as a rough draft layout of production facilities on the floor. However, the conventional depiction of still can not fully describe the real environment in the production floor.<p>This thesis is a research on the design of material flow visualization Workflow and layout production facilities on the floor. With to show workflow activities on planning material flow, position and relationship closeness facilities can be used as reference in designing the layout of production facilities on the floor. Activities and related recurrent between workflow design and layout facilities, visualize with both side by side in the one place where the display will accelerate the design process. Workflow design results from the material flow, cost flow may be needed in the production process. Sequence of machine assignment, the needs of the large number of machines that must be provided, and the relationship will be the proximity of data early in laying the necessary facilities on the floor manufacturer.<p>In this research, proved that the material flow visualization workflow design and layout in one place which will speed up the process of designing the layout, in determining the position, proximity of facilities in the engine production floor. Users can quickly find out the calculation of the cost flow Workflow and the distance between the machine moves in the production floor at the time of designing the layout of facilities. |
