Many problems arise from this great amount of hajj pilgrims, starting from the fulfillment of what the pilgrims needs to modification of ritual area as the impact of this hajj pilgrims growing tendency. Improvement efforts are always made to handle this problem, especially by the government of Saudi Arabia as the country hosts the hajj.<p>Computer simulation is a tool commonly used to find solutions for problems that arise, one is a crowd simulation. Hajj crowd simulation that previously made are based on particle system where the movement of pilgrims assumed as fluid flow with one particle represents one pilgrim. This method is able to visualize great amount of particles, show good movement and also the crowd. However, this method has not been able to display a specific behavior or activities related to the implementation of hajj ritual.<p>Therefore, simulation of the hajj crowd which is designed, is intended to be able to visualize a more complex behavior of pilgrims, so the method which is used is intelligent agent that allows visualization of a more complex and more natural behavior. The hajj is a worship that is tied with the time and place, where pilgrim behavior is determined also by this, so the simulation will also be designed based on this fact.<p>Intelligent agent paradigm states that the agent is able to adapt and show intelligent/rational/automatic behavior, agent will be able to recognize the environment, to think (decision making), and do action. The concept of intelligent agent is applied to the individual pilgrim, so crowd behavior is determined by the behavior of each agent. For each agent, the environment are other agents or buildings.<p>The result, hajj crowd simulation is able to display visualization of more realistic pilgrims behavior for the three hajj activities, namely thawaf, sa'i, and jumrah. However, the simulation is less able to display a lot of pilgrims if the simulation targeted to run on real time, which is also caused by the limitation of intelligent agent method that is applied. <br />
