Summary:A modulation signal generator is designed to control multiphase inverter using FPGA. By using FPGA, control signal can be controlled online and having fast respond to against the change of input. Furthermore, this modulation signal generator can be used together with signal processor in closed-loop control of multiphase system. There are two types of signal modulation output. They are square wave modulation and PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). Inputs of modulation signal generator are frequency, modulation index, phase mode, work mode and constant v/f control. Device testing is included to validate the performance and the result will be compared to the specification requirements.
