Description
Summary:Offshore oil/gas fields development projects are becoming high priority since the existence of onshore reserves is declining. A rigorous design of subsea flow line must be taken in to consideration because of its potential to create serious flow problems such as severe slugging particularly for downward slope at the riser base. This phenomenon may cause several problems: premature abandonment, excessive flaring, and damaging the surface facilities. In accordance with those problems this study is aimed to give technical solutions to handle severe slugging. The proposed solutions are topsides choking, gas lift, reducing riser diameter, bathymetry study.
