Description
Summary:Research area is divided into two different geomorphological units, there are Complex Ridge and Coastal-Alluvial Plain. Geomorphology research area controlled by strutural geology such as fault, fold and fracture. The present proceses in research area are weathering, erotion, and deposition. Geomorphic stage in research area is mature stage characterized with inversión topography. Stratigraphy of research area is divided into seven units, they are: Quartz Sandstone deposited at Late Eosen, Sandstone deposited at Late Oligosen, Bioklastic Limestone deposited at Late Oligosen, Marl deposited at Late Oligosen, Reff Limestone deposited at Early Miosen, Conglomerate deposited at Early Pliosen, and Coastal - Alluvial Deposit at Holocen. Structural geology occured in the research area are thrust faults, folds, and strike-slip faults. Thrust fault configuration in the research area indicated a fold thrust belt zone. Strike slip fault as the tear fault generated by the different betwen compresional forces. Deformation happened into two times which are in the Intra Miosen and Plio-Pleistocent. The main force is NNWSSE which is subduction force.
