The aims of the research are to determine the geological settings, learning and analyzing the infiltration capacity of research area. The applied methodology are field observasing and ifiltration direct trial in the field using the single ring infiltrometer device. Phisiographically, this area located at Quartenarry Volcanic Area. The Research area’s Geomorphology units consist of Gunung Putri Volcanic Cone Hill, Cikukang Incised Valleys, Cibogo Volcanic Footslope Plain and Jayagiri Volcanic Footslope Ridge. Stratigraphycally, research area consist of four litostratigraphy units. The lithologies from old to young consist of Andesitic Unit, Scoria Tuff Unit, Basaltic Unit which aged Upper Pleistocene and Lapilli Tuff Unit which aged Holocene. Geological structure in the study area consist of the contact bedding between Lapilli Tuff Unit and Scoria Tuff Unit that reflect the depositional dip (initial dip) in this area. The primary structures in this area consist of columnar joint and another structure that reflect the rock forming mechanism. Based on the measurement and calculation, it is known that the final infiltration rate will inversely related with the slope value. The lithological weathering product that has the biggest final infiltration rate is Tuff Lapilli Unit with the infiltration rate 0,285 cm/minute. Groundwater physical properties analysis in the study area shows that the springs located in the study area are localized which related to the season and rain. text
