Description
Summary:Geomorphology of the study area is divided into two geomorphological units, namely Fold Hill and Alluvial plain. Lineameant analysis using SRTM method shows random pattern East – West (in the northern area) and North – South (in southern area). Stratigraphy of the study consists of 5 lhitologycal units that have been deposited since the Late Miocene to Late Pliocene. These rock units sequentially from old to young are: Calcarenite - Claystone Unit (Calcarenite) is equalized with Rambatan Formation, Sandstone-Claystone unit (Feldspathic Wacke) is equalized with the Formation Halang within thickness 1100 m, deposited comformably above Calkarenit-Claystone Unit. Volcanic Breccia Unit is equalized with the Kumbang Formation within thickness 600 m, , deposited comformably above Sandstone-Claystone. Sandstone unit (Feldspathic Wacke) is equalized with Tapak Formation within thickness 600 m,deposited comformably above Volcanic Breccia unit. And Alluvial Unit. Areas of research related to the regional shortening of the compression tectonic regime that would create a configuration called thrust fault with the fold-thrust belt which is in the foreland zone. Geological structure shows complex structure setting, consist of: General folds and thrust fold trending Northwest - Southeast and the accompanied with three dextral strike - slip faults trending Northeast – Southwest.
