Office is a place where all the organization's operational and managerial activities take place, in order to fulfill the organization’s objective. Through the advancement of technologies, especially the Information Technology, the concept of office transforms from physical room into a work environment which has no more physical boundaries.<p>The first aspect in this planning is to analyze the system requirement. This is done by looking from few perspectives such as conventional office, office management, web portal, and current trends, to be accommodated in the construction of Digital Office Portal.<p>In analysis step, the functions are divided into those which are parts of Digital Office Portal, and those which are separated from the portal. The specific functions which are parts of the portal use data that is managed by the portal itself. The general functions which are separated from the portal use data that is managed by the functions itself, and communicate with the portal using a few alternatives such as intermediary page, data warehousing, and web services. Also in this step there will be reviews of few existing technologies that could be incorporated to meet the functions' need.<p>The result of the planning is system recommendations, consist of functions that are enabled by the portal, the management of those functions, communication between the separated functions with the portal, and alternatives of existing technologies which are suitable for those functions. Also in the recommendation there is a simple Digital Office Portal prototype which illustrates the output of the portal, from user’s viewpoint. <br />
