Description
Summary:Palynological analysis have been carried on seventy samples of a core taken from the Lembang Fault sagpond, Bandung, West Java. The objectives of analysis are to reveal the changing reflection of pollen assosiation in sagpond deposits due to the Lembang fault activity. Interpretation from this three hundred metres core, 9 (nine) stratigraphy successions and 14 (forteen) palynological sub-zones have been identified. Result of palynological analysis shows the changing of pollen proportions especially for mountain taxa, fresh water taxa and grass taxa. Result of stratigraphy analysis showed a stratigraphy successions. Both of them are due to the activity of sagpond depressions. Palynological zones analysis reflected the changing of pollen and spore proportions on each stratigraphy successions. Seven slips occured based on palynological and stratigraphy analysis.
