Although the production rate is considered low but unconventional reservoir has huge reserves that able to provide long term energy supply. In the development of tight gas reservoir required a certain production methods to increase production rate by horizontal well. To optimize the production of necessary techniques and economic analysis, tight gas reservoir studies started from build a reservoir by using synthetic data. A case study of this paper is to conduct tight gas reservoir which is a heterogeneous reservoir with permeability 0225 md - 0072 md and reserve 8427 MMscf. Reservoir produced using horizontal wells for 60 years that produces a plateau rate with the proposed use of electricity for the community so it needed economic studies. There are selected two kinds of scenarios for development and utilization of tight gas reservoir. The first scenario is to sell gas to industrial needs, while the second scenario that is processing the gas to be converted into electric power to fulfill the electricity needs of the household. From these two scenarios, we will see the benefits and the factors that influence the amount of profit earned. Sensitivity of economic variables made to the variation in gas prices, MARR, and electricity costs per month per housing unit. text
