The stratigraphy of research area is equal to Meliat Formation, Tabul Formation and Tarakan Formation. Those Formations are divided into four informal units which are formed since Late Miocene up to recent. These units are: Quartz Sandstone, Sandstone-Claystone, Sandstone and Alluvial deposits The geological structure which is dominated in the research area can be determine from the lineament, topographic map and SRTM image. Geological structure which is grown in this research area is fold with NW-SE trend and fault. Fault in research area into boundary between Quarts Sandstone and Sandstone-Claystone. Generally, the depositional environments of the research area have shown the influence of river procces. text |
