Description
Summary:The research wells are located in northern part of Wayang Windu Geothermal Field, Pangalengan, Bandung, West Java. The wells are MB-1 (107037’E and 7009’S), MB-2 (107038’E and 7010’S), MB-3 (107038’E and 7011’S), and WR (107036’E and 7010’S). The goal of this research is to study subsurface alteration zone and predict permeable zone. Stratigraphy in the 4 research wells comprises of Andesite and Andesite Breccia Units. Hydrothermal alteration zone that having been observed can be divided into 3 alteration zones: 1. Clay mineral (kaolinite)±quartz zone (argillic) 2. Clay mineral(smectite)-quartz±anhydrite-chlorite- alcite zone (subpropylitic) 3. Clay mineral (illit)-quartz±anhydrite-chlorite-wairakite-epidote-calcite zone (propylitic) Based on the occurrence of alteration mineral in the research wells, top of reservoir is located at a depth of 749-891 m. Reservoir is located in the clay mineral (illit)- quartz±anhydrite-chlorite-wairakite-epidote-calcite zone, and the fluids on reservoir have temperature ranging from 2500 to 3200C. Transition zone is located in the clay mineral(smectite)-quartz±anhydrite-chlorite-calcite zone at 490-890 m depth. Cap rock is located in the clay mineral (kaolinite)±quartz zone at 84-255 m depth. Based on petrography and drilling parameter analysis, permeable zone in the research wells is located more than 782m depth.
