Summary: | Morphology of this area is divided into four geomorphology units: Fold Hills Unit, Homoclinal Plain Unit, Intrusive Hills Unit is characterized by steep slopes and consists of granite, Alluvial Plain Unit is showed by plain morphology that lies alongside Buluhrotan River flow. The Stratigraphy of this area is divided into five illegitimate units of lithostratigraphy. The following are sorted from the oldest to the youngest, those are: Pre- Tertiary Granite Unit, Shale Unit, Sandstone-Claystone Unit, Sandstone Unit, and also Alluvial Unit which is deposited unconformably on all of those rocks as the youngest unit. Shale Unit is deposited in laccustrine environment and is equalized to Sangkarewang Formation. Sandstone-Claystone Unit is deposited in meandering streams and is equalized to Sawahlunto Formation. Sandstone Unit is deposited in braided river system and is equalized to Sawahtambang Formation. The geological structures that developed in the area include fault structures that are represented by Tumpuktengah Strike Slip Fault, Parambahan Strike Slip Fault, Sarasah Strike Slip Fault, and Tanjung Ampalu Strike Slip Fault. |
