The difficulty of understanding abstract physics concepts could decrease high school students' learning motivation. A photoelectric effect demonstration apparatus and an animation-CD (Compact Disc) have been made to increase the understanding of photoelectric effect phenomenon.<p>The demonstration apparatus is equipped with digital voltmeter. The voltmeter is based on ICL7107 chip and it is quite small in size. It can measure DC voltage from 0 to 19.99 volt with a resolution of 0.01. The circuit should be supplied with a 5 voltage supply and consumes a current of around 25mA.<p>The animation-CD contains a photoelectric developing history, photoelectric process, experiment guide and animation of photoelectric phenomenon. The animation was made with 3D Studio Max 9 and Macromedia Flash 8.<p>This photoelectric apparatus has been tested and it can be concluded that the apparatus is good enough to describe the photo electric phenomenon. A linear function of kinetic energy of electron versus light frequency, independency of kinetic energy of electron to light intensity and the dependency of current to light intensity can be shown with this apparatus. text
