Summary: | Physiographically, studied area is belong to lowland and hills zone (van Bemmelen, 1949). Geomorphological unit of studied area consist of Anticlinal Ridge and Homoclinal Valley. Rocks in studied area is divided (from the oldest up to the youngest) to claystone with upper delta plain depositinal environment, tuffaceous sandstone with landword depositinal environment and tuff. Geological structure of this area is anticlinal fold which relatively direction north-south. Coal in studied area consist of six seams with variety thickness from 0.3 to 2.5 m. Based on coal resources calculation with USGS Circular method (Wood, dkk. 1983), has 7,349,141.22 tons measured coal resources and 23,756,797.90 tons indicated coal resources. |
