Description
Summary:OCO area is located at Jatibarang Sub Basin, North West Java Basin. Jatibarang Sub Basin is part of North West Java Basin that is proven in producing hydrocarbon in Indonesia. The focus of this study is the interval of TalangAkar and Baturaja Formation that had sedimented on Oligocene until Early Miocene. TalangAkar Formation consists of carbonaceous shale with intercalation of sandstone, siltstone, coal, and conglomerate at the base part and a limestone at the upper part, while Baturaja Formation consists of limestone with a little intercalation of shale and marl. There are diverse structures in North West Java Basin, such as normal faults in NW-SE and N-S trend that created by the tectonic events that had happened from Late Cretaceous until today. Tectonostratigraphy framework and sedimentation analysis is applied to understand the role of those structures in controlling the sedimentation mechanism of TalangAkar and Baturaja sediment by using the data which are conventional core description analysis report, side wall core description anaysis report, biostratigraphy analysis report, well logs, 3-D seismic, and checkshot data. Methods that being used in this study are determination of Talang Akar and Baturaja Formation interval, depositional environment interpretation, well to seismic tie, seismic interpretation, making isopach map, and tectonostratigraphy and sedimentation analysis of Talang Akar and Baturaja Formation interval.
