Description
Summary:Liquefaction is a geotechnical phenomenon on potentially liquefidble soil deposit which is occured during earthquake, which sometimes cause damage to infra structures or buildings founded on that deposit. Stone Column is a method of soil improvement which is applied either on soft cohesive soil or loose noncohesive soil. Application of stone column on liquefiable soil deposit can increase response of soil to lique faction, in addition to provide drainage which release th e excess pore pressure generation which Lead to liquefaction. Numerical simulation can be as a supporting data model for field investigation CCPT,SPT etc) in predictin g and evaluating of stone column installation performance. This thesis have studied parametric study of pore pressure response of soil to dimension and configuration of stone column related to input motion characteristics.
