A geological research shows that there are six litologic units exposed, from the oldest to the youngest, Claystone, Volcanic Breccia, Limestone, Sandstone, Pyroclastic Breccia and Alluvial Units. Structure developed in the area, consists of reverse fault and anticline with W – E direction and strike-slip fault with NW – SE direction. The reverse fault which located in the southern part of the research area seems to control the presence of hotspring near the Cimandiri River. Based on the stable isotope analysis of δD and δ18O in the research area indicates that hot springs are meteoric origin and part of outflow of the Salak geothermal system. text
