Summary:There are two geomorphologic units in study area that is Folded Ridge and Volcanic Plain. Stratigraphy of study area can be grouped into 4 unofficial litostratigraphy units, from Early Oligocene to Recent, that is: Pebbly Sandstone Unit, Siltstone – Claystone Unit, Limestone Unit, and Volcanic Breccia Unit. Geological structure in study area is thrust fault (E – W trend) associated with fold (E – W trend) and strike-slip fault (NE – SW trend and NW – SE trend). It is formed by deformation during Pliocene – Pleistocene, with N – S trend of compression force. Sedimentation study is made at the Pebbly Sandstone Unit (Bayah Formation), which deposited in fluvial environment. Based on lithologic characteristics, sedimentary structures and supported by stratigraphy, petrographic and granulometry analysis, the study area is deposited on fluvial systems. Base on lithofasies associations which are channel, stacking channel, floodplain, inter channel and the vertical succession of stratigraphy measurements section which show amalgamated pebbly sandstone with erosional contact, so it can be concluded that this unit was deposited in the braided river system.
