Description
Summary:Geological mapping and structure analysis carried out to obtain more detailed information about this area, so we can interpretation the geological history and the mechanism of structural geology. Based on regional geological map and topographic map analysis, this area have varieties structure distribution. This research area is divided into five geomorphologic units: Fold-Thrust Mountain Unit, Karst Mountain Unit, Intrusion Mount Unit, Volcanic Mountain Unit and Alluvial Plain Unit. Stratigraphy in research area is divided into six units: Late Eocene Sandstone Unit, Late Oligocene Marl Unit, Early Miocene Limestone Unit, Late Miocene Andesitic Intrusion, Early Pliocene Breccias Unit, and Recent alluvial Deposit Unit. Geological structures which formed in the research area are reverse faults, strike slip faults, and folds as a part of fold-thrust belt which has formed by compressive tectonic. Reverse or thrust fault is the main structure in the research area with strike slip faults as tear faults and folds as accompaniment structures. Thrust sheets are not structurally continuous features but segmented by tear faults to accommodate differential displacement of different parts of the sheet. They form mainly because the impossibility of translating a huge rock mass as a single unit.
