The research area is divided into six unofficial stratigraphic units. The units are : Lava and Breccia Unit, Claystone – Sandstone Unit, Limestone Unit, Breccia Unit, Claystone Unit, and Alluvial. Lava and Breccia Unit was deposited in Early Pliocene ( N 18 – N 19 ) in the depositional environment of inner neritic – outer neritic. Lava and Breccia Unit is equivalent to the Kumbang Formation. Claystone – Sandstone Unit was deposited conformably above Lava and Breccia Unit. This unit was deposited in Early Pliocene ( N 19 ) in the environment of inner neritic – outer neritic. Claystone – Sandstone Unit is equivalent to the Tapak Formation. Within the Claystone – Sandstone Unit, there were Limestone Unit and Breccia Unit, both are Members of Tapak Formation and was deposited in Early Pliocene ( N 19 ). This Limestone Unit was deposited in inner neritic environment and has lens shape with thinning in the middle and the edges. Breccia Unit was deposited in the inner neritic – middle neritic environment and was deposited in submarine channel. Clasytone Unit was deposited conformably above Claystone – Sandstone Unit. This unit was deposited in Middle Pliocene ( N 19 – N 20 ) in middle neritic – outer neritic. Claystone Unit is equivalent to the Kalibuk Formation. Alluvial Unit is being deposited on the previous unit with erosional contact. In general, during deposition of Claystone – Sandstone Unit to Claystone Unit, the sea level rose. Geological structures that were observed in the research area are dip slopes and fault. Fault that observed in the Claystone – Sandstone Unit is strike slip fault that occured in Late Pliocene – Pleistocene. text
