Summary:Tanjung Jabal Block located in Jambi Sub-basin, South Sumatra Basin, the purpose of this research are to understanding the tectonic setting, stratigraphy, and sedimentation pattern in the research area, which consist from pre-rift phase to post-rift phase based on seismic data analysis, well log analysis, and literature studied. There are 3 tectonic activities influence the tectonic setting and stratigraphy in Jambi Sub-basin, they are: tectonic activities which have orientation southwest- ortheast (Jambi Pattern); tectonic activities which have orientation north-south (Sunda Pattern); and tectonic activities which have orientation northwest-southeast (Sumatra Pattern). These third tectonic pattern effected formation of basin in research area. Processing well log data and seismic 3D data of research area for tectonostratigraphy and sedimentation pattern analysis of Blok Tanjung Jabal. Tectonostratigraphy analysis in research area based on well log data, seismic 3D data, and general stratigraphy of Tanjung Jabal Block. Doing detail correlation on well log data, then picking horizon of pre-rift, syn-rift, and post-rift in the seismic data based on correlation on well log, and then make isochrone map analysis of interval pre-rift to syn-rift and isochrone map analysis of interval syn-rift to postrift. Sedimentation pattern analysis of syn-rift deposit based on well log data, isochrone map, and seismic attribute map RMS amplitude. The result of tectonostratigraphy analysis are pre-rift phase consist in Pre-Tertiary rocks of Jambi Sub-basib, syn-rift phase consist in Lahat Formation and minor part of Talangakar Bawah Formation, and post-rift phase consist in the formations have been deposited after syn-rift phase finish. Sedimentation pattern of syn-rift deposit in Tanjung Jabal Block occurred in the flexural margin which effected by southwest-northeast fault (Jambi Pattern) formed fluvial channel deposit such as meandering river along southwest-northeast fault, sedimentation process in this basin also effected by alluvial fan from escarpment of southwest-northeast fault (Jambi Pattern).
