Summary: | Bandung has been a destination for local and foreign tourist for a long time. The city which rich in tourist attraction is continuing in development and also in another sector. This development causing high citizen movement which unfortunatelly not supported by a well transportation means. It's very common to face congestion not only in workday but also in weekend. This high congestion will affected the city's activity including tourism. It's known from the city's tourism department that tourist growth is descending which the major complaints from the tourist is more often congestion occur causing a long travel time. That is the background for this study is attempt to develop a relationship model between them. From the literature review this relationship that is transportation system and tourism system clearly mentioned. Because both of the system are dynamic system and also changing as time, so the methods for this study is building a model with system dynamic approach. From the built simulation model, it's likely the city's congestion will growth ascending while the tourist number is on the opposite way. A policy needs to be taken to prevent this in the future. Six scenarios are made as an effort to find a best policy to increase tourist number. From them, the best way to increase tourist number is to developt non street public mass trasportation system with the restriction in vehicles ownership. This hopefully will reduce the city's congestion and increasing the tourist number. |
