Description
Summary:The geomorphology units in the study area are Batubardinding karst hills, Kabun intrusion hill, Upui fold limb ridge, Kasang fold limb plain, and Ombilin alluvial plain. River flow pattern in the study area have radial river flow pattern and rectangular river flow pattern. The stratigraphy in the study area consist of eight unofficial units of rock, in order from late to early: limestone unit, granite unit, conglomerate unit with interfingering relation to shale unit, sandstone with coal insertion unit, sandstone unit, claystone unit, and alluvial unit. Unofficial unit of rock in the study area lifespan are from Perm till Recent. The geological structure in the study area consist of Takung reverse fault, Sungaigeimiri reverse fault, and Padanglawas reverse fault with northwest – southeast trend, Upui right lateral strike slip fault and Koto VII right lateral strike slip fault with north-northeast – south-southwest trend, and Bukitsulah left lateral strike slip fault with west-southwest – east-southeast trend.
