The straigraphic unit of this study area is divided into six units based on the illegitimate unit of lithostratigraphy that is mentioned in respectively from the oldest up to the youngest, those are Basaltic Unit, Sandstone-Claystone Unit, Claystone-Sandstone A Unit, Breccia Unit, Claystone-Sandstone B Unit, and Alluvium Unit. The geological structures that was found in this study area are faults. The faults in the study area are Strike Slip Faults Kuripan and Pingit. Age of those geological structures is Upper Pliocene-Pleistocene Sedimentation study involves the Upper Part of Tapak Formation which show that formation was deposited at shallow marine environment, from the beach – offshore and there are three deepening and shallowing cycles. Beach deposits characterized by coarsed sandstone with scattered gravel and crowded fragment of molluscan shells. Shoreface deposits characterized by the thickness of claystone and sandstone almost same relatively and coarsening upward succession that show energy increased when sedimentation happened. Offshore deposits characterized by the thick claystone interbedded with thin sandstone that show low energy when sedimentation happened. text |
