Indonesia Theses INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/13808 The competition nowadays starts aiming towards the competition among the supply chain performance of companies, which are the dominant factor for gaining competitive advantage. Therefore, it is important for companies to carry out supply chain performance measurement intended for reducing costs, fulfilling customer satisfaction and increasing the profit of companies. This research was conducted to develop a performance measurement model for supply chain system based on Supply Chain Operations Reference model (SCOR). A case study at the Directorat of Aerostructure of PT. Dirgantara Indonesia (Ae-PT.DI) has been carried out to implement the model. The case study aimed to answer the following questions: (1) how is the performance measurement of supply chain system carried out at Ae-PT.DI? (2) how is the performance measurement model of Ae-PT.DI supply chain system on the basis of SCOR? (3) what are the advantages and disadvantages of the performance of Ae-PT.DI supply chain system? (4) how will the required improvements be performed by Ae-PT.DI to increase the performance of its supply chain system? The performance measurement of Ae-PT.DI is based on a Quality Objective of 2006 which is still applicable until now. The performance measurement at Ae-PT.DI is still focussed at the operational performance measurement, at the directorate level as well as at the department level.<p>A performance measurement model of supply chain system was developed on the basis of SCOR's model, modified in accordance with the condition of Ae-PT.DI. Simplifications were made for performance indicators of Documentation Accuracy, Perfect Condition and Downside Supply Chain Adaptability. Additions were made for performance indicators of Rejection Rate of Part/Component and Production Efficiency influencing level one performance indicator of Cost of Goods Sold. Adjustments were made for level one performance indicators of Upside Supply Chain Flexibility and Upside Supply Chain Adaptability measured with Available Capacity to accept additional customer orders if there is additional market demand, and calculation for level two performance indicator of Supply Chain Management Cost (Operating Expenses), measured with Sales and Marketing Expenses and General and Administration Expenses. The results of the performance measurement in the last three years indicates that Ae-PT.DI in 2006 had an aggregate supply chain performance of 92,10%, in 2007 of 76,73% and in 2008 of 78,87%. The Supply Chain Performance in 2006 was in the Excellent category, and in 2007 and 2008 were in the Improvement category. The Supply Chain System of Ae-PT.DI has advantages (achieving the targets) in the attributes of Reliability and Agility, and disadvantages (not achieving the targets) in the attributes of Responsiveness, Supply Chain Costs and Supply Chain Asset Management. The analysis results indicate that Ae-PT.DI needs to carry out improvements in the following aspects: inventory record accuracy, procurement process and production process schedule priorities, the information system, sales forecasting, production and capacity planning, and aircraft design. The empirical analysis results of this research can be generalized for considerable capital intensive companies where the accumulation of inventory has large value. The large inventory value with less value of sales will result in less profitability. text |
