Summary: | Geomorphology units in the area include Folded Mountain, Intrusion Ridge, and Alluvial Plan Units. There are seven informally rock units present, including Tuf-Sandstone, Limestone, Tuff-Sandstone Intercalated with Breccia, Polimic Breccia, Monomic Breccia, Andesite Intrusion, and Alluvial Units. The geological structures developed in this area an E-W trend fold (sincline and anticline), a NNE-WSW trend strike slip fault and an inferred NNE-WSW trend normal fault (based on reconstruction of geology section). The development of the Limestone Unit of Citarate Formation from bottom to top are algae packstone, packstone-grainstone, coral-algae packstone, and foraminifer wackestone-packstone. Based on textures and faunal assemblages limestone of The Citarate Formation, algae packstone, coral-algae packstone, and foraminifer wackestone-packstone are interpreted to be deposited in an open platform backreef environment whereas packstone-grainstone is interpreted to be deposited in forereef environment (toe of slope and open sea shelf). |
