Summary: | Tire is important part in mining hauling system, especially dump truck. As a component which contact directly with various condition of road, there is possibility to have early damage on tire. Early damage is a kind of damage which not cause by loosing of tread depth normally, but it is caused by influence of road condition.<p>Based on investigation conducted in the field since January until February, it is obtained that tire lifetime did not reach the target. Therefore, tire performance will be evaluated by three parameter of key performance indicator, which are of Ton Kilometer per Hour (TKPH), Tread Utilization Rate (TUR), and tire lifetime. It is revealed that TKPH site was less than TKPH rating which means that payload and velocity of dump truck was in safe range, to avoid early separation, but lifetime and TUR did not reach the target.<p>From the analysis, main factor which cause tire performance could not reach the target is prematur damage which cause by road hazard, which are 80% for 24.00-35 tire size and 75% for 27.00-49 tire size. From projection of tread loosing normally, it is revealed that tire lifetime will longer than the target. Therefore, road maintenance regularly is become necessary. |
